Part I – The Girl with the Purple Bandana
In the Pirin Mountains — where lilacs spilled over fences and mornings carried the scent of warm bread — a little girl was born.
In the Macedonian part of Bulgaria, where people were known for their fiery spirit, their laughter that echoed through courtyards, and their stubborn, unshakable hearts, she took her first breath — already carrying that same spark within her.
On her first birthday, her parents played the Scorpions’ “Wind of Change.” They could not have known how fitting it was — that their daughter would grow with that same restless breeze inside her, forever pulled toward freedom, music, and a life lived on her own terms.
